Machinist

The machinist is responsible for the production of prototype and production parts for a growing medical manufacturing company that changes the lives of medical patients throughout the country. Passion for providing quality products, and high attention to detail are a must for this position, as the products we make save lives!

The machinist will use plastic and steel, along with state of the art machining centers (including Haas, 3 and 4 axis) to make these parts.

An associate in this position must have a high regard for safety and make use of the tools and practices provided to insure a safe work environment, including proper lifting techniques and operation of equipment.

Machinist Position Duties:

• Program using MasterCam x 5, set-up machines and complete production runs
• Create prototypes from engineering models to test concepts
• Advise on concepts in regards to machining capabilities
• Make fixtures or tools as needed
• Carry out preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the CNC machine, band saw and other equipment
• Mentor Machine Operators and Utility Associates
• Accept accountability for the prudent stewardship of department assets and their proper risk management
• GED required
• 1-3 years related experience required
• Training in CNC programming required
• Computer savvy applicants only
