Sales Director, East Coast

Location: New York, New Jersey, Boston

A fast-growing and profitable company in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), that focuses on technologies that allow large amounts of data to move through the internet in fast and secure manner, is seeking a highly talented, experienced Sales Director.

This individual contributor will be responsible for the New York, New Jersey and Boston markets.

In this role you will:

  • Establish the company as the standard for high-speed file transfer with key accounts within the region
    • Including Broadcasters, Digital Media Production accounts, Software and Game Makers, Publishers, Legal/E-Discovery accounts and Life Sciences companies including Pharmaceutical, Bioinformatics, and Digital Health Care.
  • Penetrate accounts at the highest level of management to achieve goals.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships and achieve customer satisfaction goals.
  • Recommend the company’s software product and service solutions designed to help customers achieve their objectives.
  • Work with Sales Engineers and the CTO to provide technically accurate and compelling product information and/or demos.
  • Provide accurate price quotations based on negotiated pricing with large key and/or direct accounts.
  • Develop effective working relationships with all levels within the named account with a special focus on keeping the account timely and up-to-date on any relevant product, services or corporate information.
  • Provide comprehensive territory business plans, operational reviews, and timely forecasts to management.
  • Generate new business through new leads and/or expanding existing accounts.
  • Expand and develop existing key accounts and negotiate contracts with targeted new accounts.
  • Regularly call on accounts independently or with a reseller established with the account.
  • Work with reseller sales personnel on customer facing sales opportunities.
  • Work with marketing team to jointly develop territory marketing plans to meet sales, as well as individual, market and product objectives.
